CCUA Announces Award of Excellence Winners and Hall of Fame Inductees

Marlborough, MA – The Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) proudly recognized seven exceptional credit union leaders at the 2024 Awards of Excellence luncheon. These individuals were honored across five categories: Young Professional of the Year, Professional of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, CEO of the Year, and the prestigious CCUA Hall of Fame.
The Awards of Excellence spotlight those who exemplify the cooperative spirit of the credit union movement, embodying its values and principles. These honorees are celebrated for their dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to strengthening the credit union community.
“Each year, we are thrilled to celebrate leaders who have significantly impacted the credit union movement,” said Ron McLean, President and CEO of the CCUA. “These remarkable individuals have shaped the industry with their vision, commitment, and dedication to serving members. This year’s luncheon at APEX 2024 brought together hundreds of credit union executives, business partners, and invited guests to celebrate the award recipients.

- Professional of the Year
- Dennis A. Hebert, Jr, Granite State Credit Union
- Marianne Varatta, Greenwood Credit Union
- Young Professional of the Year
- Sean Hladick, Service Credit Union
- Volunteer of the Year
- George White, Harvard Federal Credit Union
- Hall of Fame
- David L'Ecuyer, Central One Federal Credit Union
- Mark Cochran, Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union
Award winners are selected by a dedicated committee, with criteria and eligibility posted annually during the nomination period.
